Setup guide

Everything you need to know about installing, configuring, and using Bryant Works HubSpot Extensions with your HubSpot portal.

What the app does

Bryant Works HubSpot Extensions is a portal operations toolkit that connects to your HubSpot account via OAuth and provides three core capabilities:

  • Comprehensive Portal Audit & Health Score — a deep, predominantly read-only analysis of your workflows, properties, forms, lists, users, and CRM data that produces a weighted health score with prioritized, actionable findings.
  • Proactive Monitoring & Email Digests — daily point-in-time snapshots that detect risky changes between scans (new or edited workflows, forms, properties, user and permission changes) and deliver an email digest.
  • AI-Assisted Workflow Builder — drafts new automations in natural language using your portal's context and deploys them back into HubSpot only on explicit, approval-gated user action.

The app is a private tool operated by Bryant Works for the HubSpot portals we manage on behalf of our clients. It is listed on the App Marketplace for installation across those managed accounts and is not marketed for general public use.

Requirements

  • A HubSpot account. The audit works on any hub or tier — hub-specific checks (marketing email, sequences, campaigns, CMS) are skipped gracefully when the corresponding hub isn't present.
  • A HubSpot user with permission to install apps (App Marketplace access / super admin) to complete the OAuth connection.
  • A Bryant Works app login. Because this is a private tool, sign-in is provisioned by Bryant Works — contact chris@bryantworks.com to get access.

Installation

  1. Sign in to the app at bryantworks.io/login with the credentials Bryant Works provisioned for you.
  2. Click New Audit, give it a name, and enter your company's website domain.
  3. On the connect step, click Connect HubSpot. You'll be sent to HubSpot's standard OAuth screen where you choose the portal and review the requested scopes before authorizing.
  4. After authorizing you're returned to the app, and the portal audit starts automatically. A typical portal takes 1–3 minutes; very large portals may take longer.
  5. When the audit completes you land on the scored report: overall health score, category scores, prioritized findings, and deep audits for workflows, properties, and forms.

Configuration

No configuration is required — the audit runs entirely from the OAuth connection. Two optional features can be enabled after your first audit:

  • Monitoring — enable it from the audit report to start daily snapshots and change-detection digests for the connected portal. You can pause or remove monitoring at any time from the Monitoring dashboard.
  • Workflow Builder — describe the automation you want in plain language; the app drafts it from your portal's real context (existing workflows, properties, lists, forms) and only deploys to HubSpot after you approve a scope-checked plan.

Data access

The app is predominantly read-only. It reads CRM objects and schemas (contacts, companies, deals, tickets, commerce objects, custom objects), workflows, forms, lists, marketing assets, users/teams, and account security settings to build the audit and monitoring reports.

The only write actions are user-initiated: archiving stale CRM properties you approve for cleanup, and creating lists or workflows through the approval-gated workflow builder. The app never bulk-writes, deletes records, or exports your data to third parties. The full scope-by-scope breakdown is shown on HubSpot's OAuth authorization screen and in the listing's Shared Data table.

Pricing

The app is free forever. It is an internal tool Bryant Works operates for its managed clients — there are no paid plans, subscription tiers, or in-app purchases, and no payment is ever required to use any feature of the integration.

Support

Questions, access requests, or issues: chris@bryantworks.com. We typically respond within one business day.

To disconnect the app from your portal, uninstall it from Settings → Integrations → Connected Apps in HubSpot — this immediately revokes the app's access tokens.
